Help

Is the website free?

Yes, with no account: the official questions with their answers, the free quiz, the situation questions explained, the mock interview, the tools and the guides.

How do the tools work?

The tools (Do I need the exam?, When can I apply?, Documents checklist, Expired residence permit) answer from the options you choose, directly in your browser. They give general information, not a decision: only the administration decides on your application.

Is the quiz the real exam?

No. The free quiz has 10 questions, with the answer and an explanation. The real exam has 40 questions in 45 minutes, including 12 situation questions, and you need 32 correct answers. For the real format, the app offers 1 free mock exam.

How does the mock interview work?

You listen to an interview question, you answer out loud, then you compare your answer with a sample answer and a self-check list. There is no automatic grading on the website.

Is my voice recorded?

Not by Recite. On the website, the transcription is done by your browser’s speech recognition. Depending on the browser, the audio may be sent to its provider, for example Google or Apple, to be transcribed. Recite does not receive or keep your voice or the text.

The microphone doesn’t work

Allow microphone access in your browser settings, then reload the page. Some browsers, such as Firefox, don’t offer speech recognition: try Chrome, Edge or Safari instead.

What does Premium include?

In the app: unlimited mock exams in real conditions, all 150 situation questions, spaced repetition, unlimited graded interviews and practice based on your own story. A single payment, with no subscription.

Are the answers official?

The knowledge questions come from the official lists. The answer options, the explanations and the situation questions are written by Recite, with their sources.
